ReplyDeleteHi Mark,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely comment. I am glad that you like the layout. Yes I love talking about food and sharing information.
Hmmmm....I can answer some of them:
ReplyDeleteOn average how much raw food are you eating? 90%
Are you struggling with keeping raw food in your diet? nope...if it feels like I'll be overwhelmed I just keep it simple!
Do you feel like you just run out of time in the craziness of the day to make raw food? sometimes---but I keep it really really simple.
Are you doing Awesome and keeping on track? I think I'd have to set goals first before I can judge if I'm on track!
Have you converted your friends and family to raw foodies too?
A couple...but not many take it to 100% My mom and her bf have been drinking fresh juice everyday for a year, and both have noticed more energy, better health, and fewer gray hairs!
Do your family members eat a non raw diet?
Most of my family eats a mixture of raw and cooked---we all respect each other's choices though, so it works!
Loving your blog Sasha!
ReplyDeleteMy man is about 80% raw and I am around 50%
I feel like I end up eating stuff my kids will eat allot of the time, just cause I don't want to spend so much time in the kitch.
They eat salad, smoothies and juice, and recently did enjoy a raw strawberry cream pie that I made, so that was pretty great.
I am always trying to get my mom and others into the new stuff I am learning. And at my buddy's shop, just a few blocks away I can get Sacred Chocolates now, so I am in heaven!
Lisa,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your detailed comments and answering all of my questions. I love your style and approach to no stress eating. I think this is a great thing to keep in mind that eating healthy and raw should fun and easy to do. Awesome on the 90%.
Consciouslyaltered,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely comments and I am so glad you are loving the blog. I love your answers and the fact that both your and your man are both into raw food. Your strawberry pie sounds great. I can so appreciate doing what you are saying about having a family and not wanting to be in the kitchen too much.
ps. Loving Sacred Chocolates too. (I have a review of them coming up soon)
hi sasha! your smoothie looks so refreshing! i'd say i'm about 50% raw, some days more. i recently learned i need to stay away from most fruits. i'm hoping once i'm healed i can eat fruit in moderation. my csa begins in 2 weeks and i suspect eating raw will become a breeze!

Hi Kelli,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comments. My hubby love this smoothie which had sunwarrior protein, mango, coconut oil and some strawberries. I usually go for the green juice however I am wanting more protein.
50% is great! Yes staying away from fruits can be hard. I am sure your CSA box will be loaded with great things. I can't wait to see what you will be up to when you get it. :)
Hi Sasha!! I am always changing my raw % depending on the season and how I feel...I always, always, always at least do 50% raw though...most days I fall anywhere between 80-90% and then there are times when I am rocking it at 98%!!! My husband is really on board and drinks my homemade kombucha, eats my dehydrated nut blends, and my chocolate desserts...loves salads, smoothies and juices....so I guess he is at least 50-75% too!!! My kids would fall into the same category....they do have organic packaged snacks and I don't say no at playdates and parties to the snacks being served as long as its not horrendous!! Life is a journey though! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Rawkinmom,
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are doing rawsome! I love that your whole family is eating really healthy. I totally agree with you as far as trying to make the best choices for our children. Love your whole families life style!! And yes, life is a journey and oh what a journey it has been.
Your smoothie is amazing looking Sasha..really refreshing and delicious!
ReplyDeleteTo answer your question I am never out of the raw fruit and veggies, and I always buy organic..it is not huge difference in price so why now! My family if I combine eating between 60 an 70 % of raw, almost with every meal we are having more than few things raw either fruits or veggies without any dressing...
Hi Sandra
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your comment. Glad you like the smoothie. I usually make green juice, so this was a nice change for the eyes. That is great that you and your family are incorporating raw foods into your meals. I ove hearing that.
I honestly don't keep track of how much raw stuff I eat. It changes day by day, even hour by hour. I guess I try to just follow my instincts about when to eat raw and when to eat cooked. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Amber,
ReplyDeleteI really love your attitude and your honesty. I think it is great for others to hear this that are embarking on a health or raw food journey. Thanks for sharing.
I have attempted the raw food several times and it has been very hard for me as my husband absolutely refused to consider it. I feel very strongly that this is something I want to do as I have some health problems that are only going to get worse unless I do something. I am sabotaged at every turn and it will be very hard to go this alone but I am going to really try. I find it makes me feel like a different person when I stick to it.
